Keter Environmental is committed to supporting our clients’ goals. Here’s how we helped a privately held Midwest company recycle a unique byproduct.
Keter assessed that most of their current waste byproduct was from bulky wood with large metal pieces affixed to it. The labor to remove the metal was costly and their current recycling partner was unable to recycle it and instead sent it to landfill.
Keter designed a new and more efficient solution. First, the wood byproduct was segregated onto a separate trailer, then transported to a different outlet that removes the metal efficiently. Finally, the wood is recycled either by repurposing it or grinding it into compost.
In addition to diverting 327 tons annually, this Keter program saves the client 17% on their total byproduct management program.
